REDAMCO Preserving Legacy and Shaping the Future
REDAMCO stands at the intersection of heritage, strategic land development, and national connectivity. Our story is deeply intertwined with the evolution of regional infrastructure, especially through our long-standing association with Pakistan Railways. This connection forms the backbone of our land management strategy and strengthens our role in shaping sustainable development across the country
History of Pakistan Railways & REDAMCO
Tracing its origins to the 1855 private consortia of the Scinde and Punjab Railways, the network was formally unified as the North Western State Railway in 1885. Inherited in 1947 as a vital 8,122 km artery, it has evolved through strategic expansions—such as the Kot Adu–Kashmore corridor—to become the backbone of national connectivity. Today, Pakistan Railways stands as a historic institution bridging the heritage of the past with the industrial demands of the future
REDAMCO: Modernizing National Assets
Established in 2012, REDAMCO is the strategic vehicle for the restoration and commercial optimization of Pakistan Railways’ prime land bank. We transform high-value Railway estates into sustainable revenue streams through modern real estate development. By converting underutilized land into vibrant commercial hubs, REDAMCO generates the essential capital required to modernize infrastructure and ensure the fiscal sustainability of the national Rail network
